Job summary

SHIK CONSULTING GROUP in Washington, DC is seeking an Entry Level Marketing Assistant to raise brand awareness with nonprofit causes. This onsite role includes paid training and collaboration across departments to uncover donor insights and craft campaigns that engage supporters.

You’ll translate brand elements into go-to-market plans, support events and outreach, and help optimize the donor registration experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to receive training and coaching in identifying target audiences and devising effective campaigns.
• Experience with fieldwork and high volume in-person interaction.
• Strong analytical skills and a creative mindset.
• Data-driven thinking and an affinity for numbers.
• Up-to-date with latest trends and marketing best practices.
• Degree in marketing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Increase donor funding with strategic brand positioning and territory management
• Shape and communicate our vision and mission through public speaking and one-on-one presentations
• Translate brand elements into plans and go-to-market strategies
• Manage a team of marketing people working on brand initiatives
• Lead creative development to motivate the target audience to “take action”
• Establish performance specifications, cost and price parameters, market applications and sales estimates
• Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess ROI and KPIs
• Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors’ activities
• Oversee new and ongoing marketing and advertising activities
• Monitor product distribution and consumer reactions
• Devise innovative growth strategies
• Align the company around the brand’s direction, choices and tactics
