Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Physician HTPN to examine and treat patients with diverse conditions. You will take patient histories, order tests, make diagnoses, and prescribe treatments, while administering vaccinations and conducting follow-up exams to support disease prevention and health maintenance.

You will supervise the clinical activities of allied health and advanced practice professionals, collaborate with a care team, and tailor post-operative plans.

Qualifications

• Examine, collect, record, and maintain patient information as part of initial assessment.
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medications, vaccination, and other medical care.
• Order, perform, and interpret tests to diagnose and manage conditions.
• Collaborate with a clinical team to determine tests, diagnoses, and treatment options.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient conditions and progress; reevaluate treatments as necessary.
• Supervise the clinical activities of a care team including allied health professionals.
• May work in hospital, specialty clinic, or outpatient surgical center.
• May perform surgical procedures or non-invasive interventions in the area of specialty.
• Create post-operative care plans and recommend lifestyle changes.

Job Summary

The Physician HTPN supervises the clinical activities of allied health and advanced practice professionals.

Essential Functions Of The Role

• Examine, collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
• Order, perform, and interpret tests and examine records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' condition.
• Work with a clinical team of technicians, advanced practice professionals, and physicians. Make judgments about tests, diagnoses, and treatment options for patients.
• Monitor patient conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
• Diagnoses and treats conditions in area of specialty.
• May work in hospital, specialty clinic or outpatient surgical center.
• May perform surgical procedures, treatment or non-invasive procedures in area of specialty.
• May create post-operative care plans, recommend lifestyle changes involving diet, exercise and other matters.
• Supervise the clinical activities of a care team that may consist of other providers, and allied health professionals.
