STAFF TODAY is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician in Philadelphia, PA to support pharmacists in dispensing medications and processing prescriptions. The role requires attention to accuracy, inventory management, and customer service in a professional healthcare setting.

We offer a local pay rate of $24.15/hour (W2) with standard benefits. A PA license/certification and at least one year of related experience are required, along with relevant compliance documents and BLS/CPR certifications where

Qualifications

• Current, valid PA license/certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year related experience.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board if required.
• Copy of current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, immunization records).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications.
• Receive and process prescription orders accurately.
• Measure, count, label, and package medications per procedures.
• Maintain medication inventory and restock supplies.
• Process insurance claims and assist with prescription billing.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
• Ensure medications are stored properly and within expiration guidelines.
• Provide courteous customer service while directing questions to the pharmacist.
• Follow pharmacy policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Shift Details:

• 9:30am-6:00pm


• 40 hours / week

Pharmacy Technician Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications.


• Receive and process prescription orders accurately.


• Measure, count, label, and package medications according to established procedures.


• Maintain medication inventory and restock supplies as needed.


• Process insurance claims and assist with prescription billing when applicable.


• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.


• Ensure medications are stored properly and within expiration guidelines.


• Provide courteous customer service while directing clinical questions to the pharmacist.


• Follow pharmacy policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current, valid, and unrestricted PA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.


• High school diploma or equivalent


• Minimum of one (1) year related experience.


• Additional certifications may be required.


• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.


• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
