Job Description

The Noncertified Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist I (CVIS I) reports to the assist Coordinator (Outpatient Clinic Manager) and the Nurse Manager of the Heart and Vascular Service Line. Under limited supervision, the CVIS I assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in an invasive procedure arena specializing in the care of patients undergoing basic diagnostic catheterization and interventional procedures.

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Work Experience: 0-2 years of modality specific experience required. Current registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). ARRT registration in interventional radiology required within 1 year in position. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
