Job summary

Midea is seeking a procurement professional to manage non-material spend for factory operations in the United States. You will source equipment spare parts, office supplies, and safety items, ensuring safe inventory levels and timely delivery to support daily production.

You will also lead equipment maintenance projects, including tendering, contracting, execution, and payment, while coordinating with user departments to forecast needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of direct procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Familiar with equipment construction, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical principles.
• Ability to read 2D/3D drawings.
• Familiar with industrial markets and supplier management.

Responsibilities

Job description

Coordinate with demand departments, responsible for the procurement of non-material items such as factory equipment spare parts (standard parts/non-standard parts), office supplies, labor protection supplies, etc., to ensure the satisfaction of the factory's daily production consumption needs; implementation of equipment outsourcing repair projects;

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the procurement of equipment spare parts (including standard and non-standard parts), office supplies, and safety supplies to maintain safe inventory levels;
2. Responsible for the implementation of equipment maintenance projects, including tendering, contract signing, process execution, and subsequent acceptance and payment;
3. Responsible for coordinating with user departments to collect procurement requirements, place orders, and track the inbound process and subsequent management of material issuance;
4. Optimize the procurement process to improve efficiency and reduce the procurement cycle and costs;

Essential Qualifications

• Over 3 years of direct procurement experience in a manufacturing company;
• Familiar with the basic construction of equipment, mechanical principles, basic principles of hydraulic systems, electrical systems of equipment, etc.;
• Ability to read 2D/3D drawings;
• Familiar with industrial products market and supplier management system;
