Dignity Health is recruiting a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join an academic group at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, affiliated with Creighton SOM. The role blends clinical cardiology with medical education, including fellowship training and scholarly inquiry.

You will split time between inpatient and outpatient consultations, collaborating with a dedicated staff and access to advanced cardiovascular services, in a growing program with strong academic ties.

Qualifications

  • MD/DO degree and board certification/eligibility in cardiology.
  • Echocardiography (BC/BE) is desirable.
  • Nuclear imaging experience preferred.
  • Academic teaching experience with residents/fellows preferred.
  • Arizona licensure prior to starting.

Responsibilities

  • Split time between inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations.
  • Mentor residents and cardiology fellows; contribute to education.
  • Engage in fellowship training and clinical research opportunities.
  • Collaborate with a full support staff and access advanced services.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Non-Invasive Cardiologist you will leverage your board certification/eligibility in cardiology to contribute to an esteemed academic group model, shaping the future of cardiovascular medicine. This pivotal role within Dignity Health Cardiovascular Services at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center offers the unique opportunity to integrate clinical excellence with medical education, becoming a valued faculty member affiliated with Creighton SOM. You will champion the development of future cardiac specialists, engaging in robust fellowship training, and fostering scholarly inquiry through encouraged clinical research opportunities within a supportive environment.


Every day you will split your expertise between comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations, managing a diverse patient panel from a single, conveniently located campus clinic. You'll collaborate with a dedicated full support staff, accessing advanced cardiovascular services that span structural and interventional cardiology. Your commitment to patient care and academic advancement will directly impact a rapidly expanding community, allowing for an exceptional work-life balance in a dynamic urban setting.


To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong foundation in non-invasive cardiology, demonstrating a profound passion for both clinical practice and teaching at an academic health center. We are offering a competitive 2 year salary guarantee then RVU-based, a sign-on bonus, full benefits, CME allowance, Malpractice with tail coverage, and relocation assistance for eligible candidates. We also offer a retirement plan with employer match. Qualified candidates may also be eligible for student loan repayment.

Required



  • MD/DO Degree

  • Cardiovascular Disease (Board Certified/Board Eligible)

  • Echocardiography (BC/BE)

  • Nuclear experience preferred

  • Academic experience in teaching residents and/or cardiology fellows preferred

  • Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals

  • Must obtain Arizona State medical licensure before starting in the position

  • Advanced cardiac imaging is desirable but not required
