Job summary

UPMC Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) is searching for a full-time Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join its growing team starting in 2026 or 2027. This role involves providing inpatient and outpatient cardiology services across multiple locations near Pittsburgh and includes a clinical academic appointment.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Cardiology required.
• Must have a valid Pennsylvania medical license.
• Proven experience in non-invasive cardiology practice necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient cardiology consultations and critical care services.
• Conduct ECG analysis and transthoracic echocardiograms.
• Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiograms and cardiac nuclear studies.
• Participate in teaching duties if optional.
• Share weekend coverage with cardiologists on a 1:4 basis.

About The Opportunity

UPMC's Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) seeks a full-time, general, non-invasive cardiologist to join its expanding team in 2026 or 2027. The successful candidate will enjoy a clinical academic appointment and provide inpatient/outpatient services at its UPMC Jameson &/or UPMC Horizon locations.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient cardiology consultations and critical care services
• ECG analysis and interpretation of transthoracic echocardiograms
• Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiograms and cardiac nuclear studies
• Optional teaching duties
• Weekly rotation with cardiologists; weekend coverage shared 1:4

About The Practice

HVI comprises 4 full-time cardiologists (2 interventionalists, 2 non-invasive) with plans to grow to 6, supported by 10 APPs providing services across two suburban locations near Pittsburgh. The practice also includes part-time electrophysiology, heart failure, vascular, thoracic, and cardiothoracic services.
