The North Florida/South Georgia VA Healthcare System in Gainesville, Florida, seeks a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join its Specialty Care Service. The physician will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, interpret advanced cardiac studies, and participate in teaching with shared call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care within a 240-bed VA tertiary referral center
• Manage patients across a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions including coronary, structural heart, electrophysiology and heart failure disorders
• Interpret and provide clinical consultation on ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring and advanced imaging studies
• Provide coverage for the VA Coronary Care Unit and general cardiology consultation service including shared night and weekend call
• Supervise and teach general cardiology fellows, medical residents and advanced practice providers
• Collaborate with the VA cardiology team including interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists and heart failure specialists
• Engage in clinical research and scholarly activities and participate in the affiliated University of Florida practice if negotiable
