Job summary

Nashville General Hospital (NGH) is seeking a dedicated Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our growing cardiovascular team. The role covers inpatient and outpatient evaluation, non-invasive testing, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a diverse community.

The ideal candidate will have an MD or DO, completed Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship, and be board certified or eligible. Teaching, research, and potential academic appointments are encouraged.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Completion of Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship.
• Board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Two years of cardiovascular experience preferred; exceptionally trained new graduates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of a broad range of cardiovascular conditions.
• Diagnose and manage coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmias, valvular disease, and other cardiovascular disorders.
• Perform and interpret EKGs, echocardiograms, stress testing, and other non-invasive cardiac studies.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment and prevention plans.
• Provide cardiovascular consultation, pre-operative risk assessment, and post-operative management.
• Collaborate with primary care, hospitalists, emergency medicine, surgeons, nurses, APPs, and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and cardiovascular program development.
• Educate patients and families regarding cardiovascular health, prevention, and disease management.
• Participate in teaching medical students, residents, fellows, and APPs.
