Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and board certification or eligibility in cardiovascular disease.
• NJ licensure eligibility is required to practice in the state.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in cardiovascular disease is expected.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular disease.
• Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac testing.
• Echocardiography, stress testing, ECG/EKG interpretation and other diagnostic studies.
• Manage coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension and valvular disease.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, hospitalists and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary patient-care planning.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and meet quality standards.

St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join its growing cardiology program. This is an excellent opportunity for a new cardiology graduate or experienced cardiologist seeking a primarily weekday clinical practice with a predictable call schedule.

The physician will provide comprehensive non-invasive cardiovascular care while working alongside a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, hospitalists, advanced practice providers, and other specialists.

Schedule & Call

• Monday–Friday clinical schedule

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $450,000 to $500,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
