Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Council Bluffs, IA seeks an experienced Non-Invasive Cardiac RN to guide patients through cardiac recovery and educate families. You will assess complex conditions, monitor progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize healing and long-term wellness.

Responsibilities include prepping for testing, assisting with non-invasive and diagnostic procedures, administering IV meds and sedation, and maintaining documentation while upholding HIPAA and safety

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for cardiac testing and procedures with histories, vital signs, and room readiness.
• Provide direct patient care during non-invasive and diagnostic cardiac procedures and assist teams.
• Administer IV meds and moderate sedation, monitor status and rhythms.
• Recognize changes in condition and respond to emergencies including CPR as needed.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and HIPAA/compliance standards.
• Support department operations, educate patients and families, manage supplies, and foster relations.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Non Invasive Cardiac RN,you will be a pivotal caregiver, guiding patients through critical cardiac recovery and empowering them and their families with life-changing support and education.
Every day,you will expertly assess complex cardiac conditions, meticulously monitor patient progress, and collaborate seamlessly with our multidisciplinary team to optimize healing and long-term wellness plans, ensuring no two days are alike.
To be successful in this role,you will combine acute assessment skills and an adaptable, detail-oriented approach with a compassionate drive to go the extra mile, shaping enduring positive health outcomes for every patient.

• Prepare patients for cardiac testing and procedures by obtaining medical histories, vital signs, required documentation, and ensuring exam rooms and equipment are ready for use.
• Provide direct patient care during non-invasive and diagnostic cardiac procedures, including stress testing, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), cardioversions, and related examinations, while assisting physicians and care teams.
• Administer prescribed intravenous medications and moderate sedation under provider direction, while continuously monitoring patient status, cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and treatment responses.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition, cardiac arrhythmias, and emergency situations, including assisting with CPR, defibrillation, and cardioversion as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records, procedure documentation, charge entry, quality assurance records, and compliance with HIPAA, infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Support efficient department operations by coordinating patient care, educating patients and families, managing supplies and equipment, assisting with room turnover, and fostering positive relationships with patients, providers, and colleagues.

We are offering a $6,000 sign-on bonus & up to $10,000 in Educational Assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
