Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Warehouse Selector in Rogers, MN. You will select and move products between the loading dock and warehouse, using pallet jacks and forklifts to fill customer orders from multi-level rack storage systems.

The role requires standing, walking, reaching, and lifting 10–90 pounds, plus the ability to work in cooler, freezer, and dry environments. Shift-style overtime and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6–12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; able to lift 10–90 pounds.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).

Responsibilities

• Reviews work schedule, obtains supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
• Performs safety check on pallet jack/forklift and ensures safety devices function properly.
• Puts on all required PPE and safety gear.
• Places pallets on pallet jack and operates along assigned multi-level racks to locate products.
• Places stock items on pallets from pick slots and racks as required; uses pallets as directed.
• Transports completed palletized customer orders to shipping dock staging area; may shrink-wrap pallets for staging.
• Removes batteries requiring recharging and completes vehicle inspection checklist.
• End of shift: secure equipment and complete paperwork; meet productivity and accuracy standards.

Position Summary:

Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company's success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards. As a Selector, you will select and move product between the loading dock and the warehouse and within the warehouse. You may also utilize company provided equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, tuggers, carts, etc.

The Selector selects cases and other containers of food and non-foods products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems. Items are placed on pallets and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric pallet jack / forklift, wrapped, labeled, and readied for shipment in a timely manner.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Reviews work schedule, obtains supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
• Performs safety check on pallet jack / forklift to be used and ensure that all other safety devices are functioning properly.
• Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
• Places pallets on pallet jack and operates along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets.
• Manually places the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required. Uses single and/or double pallets as directed.
• Transports completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area. May be required to shrink-wrap pallet for staging.
• Removes batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, or attach re-charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist.
• At the end of the shift, secures all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Meets required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
• Ensures work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Expected compensation is $24- $26/hr

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position

Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift

Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry

Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Preferred qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

1-2 years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience using a motorized pallet jack

Foodservice distribution or related industry experience

Motorized pallet jack certified
