Job summary

ShopRite of WHARTON in Wharton, NJ is seeking a Non-Foods Clerk to provide friendly customer service, price and stock merchandise, and maintain a clean department. You will rotate stock, assist shoppers, and follow all safety and QA standards in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires good English communication, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work a full shift in varying temperatures. Compensation is $16.00 per hour with benefits as described.

Qualifications

• Proficient reading, writing and speaking English.
• Ability to perform basic math and pricing tasks.
• Ability to stand/walk for a full shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Price, stock, and rotate merchandise in Non-Foods.
• Assist with inventory and communicate low stock to management.
• Maintain a clean, safe department and handle damaged goods.
• Follow safety policies and company procedures at all times.
