Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt assistance.
• Receive, price, stock, rotate, and restock merchandise.
• Help maintain inventory levels and inform management of low stock.
• Handle damaged products per policy and control damaged goods.
• Keep department clean, neat, and safe.
• Maintain sanitation and QA standards (sweeping, mopping, cardboard).
• Operate baler and compactor.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and equipment per standards.
• Keep floors free of debris and spills.
• Follow local/state/federal regulations for Non-Foods.
• Follow company rules, safety, and security policies.
• Lift/push/pull 25 lbs, up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Unload trucks and move merchandise to Non-Foods area.
• Stand for long hours, possibly >8 hours.
• Check prices and know item locations.
• Promote charitable promotions to customers.
• Adhere to shrink guidelines for operations.
• Dress per policy (uniform, badge, hat).00
• Follow QA gloves/wash and safety rules for chemicals.
• Report equipment problems promptly.
• Follow HAZCOM program and label instructions.
• Assist customers with inaccessibles items and warehouses.
• Know merchandise types and locations.
• Keep shelves stocked and faced per standards.
• Complete department training programs.
• Support ShopRite service priorities: Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, Efficiency.
• Maintain punctuality and attendance.
