Job summary

Cedar Bus Company LLC is hiring drivers to transport clients safely, with paid CDL training to obtain Passenger endorsement. Initial pay starts at $17.51 per hour, increasing to $18.54 per hour once credentials are fully in place.

The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with potential weekend shifts for charter or shuttle runs. Candidates must meet NY CDL/19A and DOT medical requirements and be able to assist wheelchair passengers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must possess a valid driver license.
• Valid NYS Driver's License - CDL Class C or higher with Passenger endorsement or CLP.
• NYS-DMV 19A qualification or ability to obtain one.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull 250 lbs.
• Ability to assist wheelchair clients and operate lifts.
• Demonstrate empathy and a customer-first approach.
• Willingness to grow within the company.

Responsibilities

• Transport clients safely to programs, following DOT regulations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus.
• Ensure buses are clean and fueled; report defects.
• Assist clients on/off the bus and secure wheelchair passengers.
• Maintain route updates and coordinate with dispatch.
• Adhere to safety policies and company procedures.
• Occasionally cover charters, med runs, or shuttle runs as needed.
