Job summary

Diamond Technical Services, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented NDT Inspector Level II to join our St. Louis QC team. You will perform VT, MT, PT, and UT-T inspections on materials and welds, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Travel to other offices will be required as projects demand.

We support growth through paid training and a clear pathway to advanced NDT methods (RT, PAUT). Active Level II certs and 2–3 years’ field experience are required, with a strong safety record.

Qualifications

  • Active ASNT Level II certification in VT, MT, PT, and UT-T is required.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of field NDT inspection experience.
  • Willingness to travel to regional offices/sites from the St. Louis base.
  • Strong reading of blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of ASME, AWS, and ASTM codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in producing clear inspection reports.

Responsibilities

  • Perform NDT inspections utilizing VT, MT, PT, and UT-T methods per codes, standards, and customer specs.
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate specialized NDT equipment.
  • Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results with detailed reports.
  • Identify, mark, and report discontinuities or defects in materials and welds.
  • Travel to support other offices/sites as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers, welding inspectors, and QA teams to meet timelines and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain testing equipment in clean, calibrated, and proper working condition.

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, certified, and career-driven Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector to join our quality control team based out of our St. Louis, MO office. In this role, you will perform evaluations on materials, components, and structures to identify defects and ensure compliance with industry safety and quality standards.

We are specifically looking for technicians who want to grow their skills and abilities into advanced inspection methods. We actively invest in your professional growth by providing a clear pathway and financial support for career development into advanced technologies, including Radiographic Testing (RT) and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT).

The ideal candidate must possess active certifications and demonstrated experience in Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UT-T).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform NDT inspections utilizing VT, MT, PT, and UT-T methods in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate specialized NDT equipment.
  • Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results, preparing detailed reports of findings.
  • Identify, mark, and report discontinuities or defects in materials and welds.
  • Travel to support other company offices and project sites as operational needs require.
  • Collaborate with project managers, welding inspectors, and quality assurance teams to ensure adherence to project timelines and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain testing equipment in clean, calibrated, and proper working condition.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Current ASNT Level II or equivalent certification in VT, MT, PT, and UT-T is required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of field experience performing NDT inspections.
  • Strong desire to learn and cross-train in advanced NDT methods (RT, PAUT).
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various regional offices/sites from the St. Louis base.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, and ASTM.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in generating clear, concise written inspection reports and data entry.
  • Excellent safety track record and commitment to workplace safety protocols.

Important Note:
