Location
Program located in the Palmdale, CA facility within the Quality department. The site is uniquely suited for the development, prototyping, production and testing of military aircraft systems, both manned and unmanned.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Review routers, procedures, specifications, and other instructions for completeness and instructions to perform operation.
- Process parts in accordance with procedures and technical instructions to evaluate for processing discontinuities exceeding specified requirements.
- Operate UT inspection equipment/automated systems.
- Set‑up, operate, calibrate, and perform Process Control Checks on UT equipment by following established instructions and record results.
- Interpret, evaluate and report evaluation results as required and outlined.
- Fill out required logs and statistical data sheets as required.
- Maintain required job skills and knowledge of requirements (including procedures, specifications, etc.).
- Maintain work area, equipment, and all documents/records to be audit ready at all times.
- Provide On‑the‑Job Training (OJT) to Level1 NDT Inspectors and fellow Level2 NDT Inspectors.
- Assist the Level3 in developing specific test techniques.
- Completes these and other job duties as instructed.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED (education will be verified).
- Minimum of 2 years related non‑destructive experience, specifically in UT methodology.
- Able to read and interpret blueprint and engineering drawings and document non‑conformances as required.
- Ability to successfully pass vision screen and color blindness tests.
- Ability to pass General, Specific, and Practical exams within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company.
- Ability to be subject to a variety of physical conditions and areas which could cause phobias due to height or closed spaces.
- Must be willing to work any shift, overtime or non‑standard work schedule.
- Must be able to lift up to approximately 25 pounds. May occasionally lift 50 pounds with assistance.
- Must possess an active DOD Secret Clearance and be able to obtain Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time.
- Formal Classroom Certifications in Ultrasonic NDT level1 and level2 (documentation required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal Classroom Certifications in Eddy Current NDT level1 and level2.
- Experience with automated UT inspection systems.
- Experience with multiple brands of flaw detectors.
- Experience in the interpretation of flaws in composite materials.
- Positive attitude and ambition to excel/advance in skills and knowledge.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce error‑free products and accurately complete associated paperwork or electronic work instructions.
- Willingness to cross‑train in other NDT methods.
- Ability to work extended or flexible schedule on short notice as needed.
- Ability to work under general direction with minimal supervision.
- 2‑Year degree/certification from NDT Training Institution.
Salary Range
Primary Level Salary Range: $56,000.00 - $93,400.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; salaries are determined based on scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
