Job summary

Cancer Center of South Florida is seeking a Non-Certified Medical Assistant to support clinicians during patient examinations and manage a mix of clinical and administrative duties in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate from an accredited medical assisting program required.
  • Minimum two years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • RMA/CMA/CCMA required within one year of hire.

  • Perform other administrative, clinical, and patient care-related duties as assigned to support efficient clinic operations, including assisting with special projects, managing patient flow, and ensuring the accuracy of patient records.

Requirements


REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Graduate from an accredited medical assisting school required.

  • Minimum two years' experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.



Required Certificates, License Or Registration


  • BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire.

  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.

  • RMA/CMA/CCMA required within one year of hire.



Required Knowledge, Skills Or Abilities


  • Knowledge of caring for the acute and chronically ill patient.

  • Knowledge of hemodynamics.

  • Ability to work in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and chemo order entry software.
