Job summary

Staffmark Drivers in Ontario, CA is hiring a Non CDL Yard Goat Driver to move trailers, hook and unhook, and support warehouse operations. You will perform daily inspections and communicate with dispatch to ensure safe, on-time deliveries.

A CDL-A license is required along with DOT Medical Card and yard hostling experience. We offer weekly pay, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401(k), and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license.
• DOT Medical Card.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR.
• 1 year yard goat/yard hostling experience within the last 3 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents in the last 3 years.
• No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate a yard goat to move trailers throughout the yard and dock areas.
• Hook and unhook trailers safely and efficiently.
• Switch out empty trailers with loaded trailers to support warehouse and production operations.
• Park trailers at designated docks and yard locations.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Follow all company safety procedures and yard traffic regulations.
• Communicate with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and managers via radio and onboard computer systems.
• Complete approximately 40-50 trailer moves per shift.
• Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety.
• Operate in various weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
