Job summary

Christy Sports in Kentucky is hiring a seasonal, full-time Warehouse & Delivery Associate. You will load and unload delivery vehicles, drive to stores and customers, and use a handheld scanner to pick and pack orders.

The role requires a high school diploma, be at least 21, have a valid driver’s license, and meet safety standards. Lift up to 50 pounds regularly; distribution center experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• MV state safety standards compliant.
• English literacy required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Heavy lifting with group support for items >200 lbs.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Distribution center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Summary Description

This position performs a variety of tasks associated in a warehouse and inventory control operation. This position is also responsible for loading trucks for the delivery of merchandise to stores and/or customers and unloading of that merchandise at the assigned destination. This position is authorized as an approved operator / driver of a company vehicle. This is a seasonal full-time position.

Job Responsibilities

• Load and unload delivery vehicles
• Operate a company vehicle for the safe and timely delivery of merchandise to designated stores and customers
• Move merchandise to and from assigned areas within the warehouse
• Operate handheld inventory scanner to pick / pack orders
• Perform all tasks in a safe manner according to company policies and standards
• Present a professional and courteous manner with co-workers and customers
• Other duties as may be assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company safety standards
• Be able to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
• Must be able to regularly lift a minimum of 50 pounds individually
• Heavy lifting of items in excess of 200 pounds with group assistance
• Must be able to regularly bend and/or kneel
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Experience in a distribution center preferred
• Must be able to work flexible schedules to accommodate peak season workflow, including nights and weekends;
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels for continued vehicle use. (Will be driving owned, leased, or rented vehicles to include vans and box trucks with a gross vehicle weight of less than 26,001 lbs)
• Obey all federal, state, and local rules and regulations of the road including all DOT operating and recording procedures. and drive according to the weather/road conditions
• Lift-gate, pallet jack and forklift experience helpful
