Job summary

84 Lumber is hiring a full-time Truck Driver to deliver building materials to customer job sites and keep yards organized. You will operate forklifts when certified, maintain safety standards, and coordinate with management on schedules and delays.

Applicants must be 21+, have a CDL where applicable, provide an MVR, and meet FMCSA requirements. This role offers growth within a family-owned company and benefits from a strong, team-centered culture.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand highway signs.
• Provide MVR and list of violations annually as required by FMCSA.
• Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle per FMCSA.
• Not be disqualified to drive a CMV.
• Have completed or hold a valid CMV road test certificate.
• May be required to hold a CDL depending on truck/hauler.
• May require a Medical Exam certificate/card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customer job sites and unload freight.
• Operate forklift training/certification if needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean lumber yard and warehouse.
• Communicate delays or discrepancies with management.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Excellent time management and communication with dispatch.

Responsibilities

The full-time Truck Driver is responsible for delivering material to customer job sites, forklift operation, and maintaining the lumber yard and warehouse. Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license and safe driving record. Responsibilities include:

• Building loads for delivery and unloading freight including lumber and building supplies
• Forklift training, certification, and operation
• Maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse
• Communicating delays or discrepancies with management
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Be at least 21 years old.

• Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle.
• Provide (on an annual basis) a true and correct copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations or the certificate as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
• Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Complete or have completed a driver's road test and has been issued a valid and current certificate of driver's road test, or its equivalent, in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may be required to have a commercial motor vehicle license
• Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may be required to have a valid and current Medical Exam certificate or card.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
