Job summary

The Shred-it Route Driver at WM is responsible for delivering industry‑leading document destruction services to clients, including loading and unloading the vehicle and securing all cargo per policy and law. This role requires a valid license and 3 years of route management experience, with 10‑hour shifts starting at 6am.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour, with a $250 boot allowance and safety-sensitive duties. We focus on growth, sustainability, and a people‑first culture as part of WM’s mission.

Qualifications

• 3 years of driving or route-management experience.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Box truck driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs onsite/offsite document destruction of confidential information.
• Performs pre/post-trip checks and driver check-in before/after routes.
• Operates equipment safely to minimize injury and damage.
• Maintains DOT logs where applicable and complies with laws.
• Ensures security of documents during handling and transport.
• Serves accounts using handheld device and keeps inventories accurate.
• Manages routes to service customers promptly and accurately.
