Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is hiring a driver in Vermont to handle pickup and delivery within the local distribution network. You will be expected to follow safety practices, meet delivery windows, and comply with DOT rules.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trailers, maintaining a clean MVR, and adapting to terminal schedules. Travel is frequent (75%+); overtime applies after 8 hours for full-time staff with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class C license required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Stable work record and strong work ethic.
• Safe driving record (MVR) and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.

• Loading and unloading of trailers utilizing the same techniques, technology and procedures as a dock worker.
• Actual duties and schedule may vary depending on terminal location.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma / GED
• Certifications: Minimum of a Class C, State Issued Driver’s License.
• Should be at least 18 years old.
• Stable work record and strong work ethic.
• Safe driving records (MVR as well as previous employers) are required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.

• Work Hours: Schedule may vary depending on Service Center location.
• Travel Requirements: Frequent (75% or more)
• Compensation: This is a hourly position paid weekly.

In accordance with the Vermont pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is $18.25 to $32.52 per hour with overtime paid after 8 hours for full-time employees. Company-funded benefits are offered to full-time employees after a waiting period determined by local union
