Job summary

Trilogy MedWaste in Fort Myers, FL seeks a Driver & Warehouse Associate to safely complete customer collection routes, unload waste from vehicles, ensure decontamination, and stage materials for scanning and processing. You will interact with customers, staff, and regulators, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities include operating NavuSoft for records, loading autoclave bins, routing collections, inspecting tubs, and keeping vehicles clean and orderly.

• Loading and unloading product tubs; maintain safe handling.
• Route collection with a delivery truck; maintain vehicle cleanliness.

Pay Rate: $21-23 Hourly

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Unload waste from incoming vehicles and separate non-autoclavable waste to be incinerated
• Stage waste or properly stack waste for scanning
• Performing assigned duties during the collection and transport of medical waste
• Scan waste into the NavuSoft system for proper recordkeeping purposes
• Load autoclave bins with waste for processing
• Loading and unloading product tubs
• Pushing/pulling wheeled containers and climbing in/out of cargo compartment
• Employee must demonstrate the ability to maintain neat and orderly appearance and paperwork, and the ability to operate a smart phone
• Place re-usable containers on the tub wash line for decontamination.
• Route collection with a delivery truck
• Operate tub wash unit ensuring the wash unit is operating properly; remove clean tubs from the wash unit, inspect tubs and stack for loading onto assigned vehicle for re-use
• Operate tub wash sprayer for oversized reusable tubs ensuring the unit is operating properly; inspect tubs and stack for loading onto an assigned vehicle for re-use
• Decontaminate vehicles cargo-carrying portion, reloads assigned re-usable tubs and ensures a cargo-carrying portion of the vehicle does not have free liquid on the floor; inform the plant supervisor the vehicle is ready to be moved from the dock area
• Ensure housekeeping issues (e.g., spills cleaned up, the floor is dry, and debris not on the floor, etc.) are addressed immediately
• Assist in other areas of the plant operation as directed
• Pull order to load supplies unto trucks for next day service
• Help keep inventory supply in order
• Maintain all vehicles (clean and orderly)

• Quickly grasp and adapt to new tasks, software and protocols
• Must meet all applicable DOT and licensing requirements
• Licensed for vehicle to be driven (min. Class C); Class A or Class B license also acceptable
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner’s Card (MEC)

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

• Able to work an agreed upon standard schedule
• Additional hours as job duties demand

Travel - Other

• Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities when necessary (less than 10%)
• Must have a current, valid driver's license
• Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
