Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an HVAC Technician 2 to deliver portable HVAC equipment, train customers on safe operation, and perform service calls. You will troubleshoot and ensure equipment reliability, maintain records, and support shop duties.

A valid driver's license and 3-5 years of HVAC experience are required; after-hours/weekend work may be needed; HVAC certificate is preferred. Join a national leader in equipment rental with a comprehensive benefits package and ample on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of formal HVAC experience/training.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record free from points.
• HVAC Certificate preferred, which recognizes some level of formal training as well as the legal (state licensed) ability to work on refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment; trains authorized operator (and/or customer) on safe use of equipment.
• Directs customers to sign appropriate paperwork; keeps track of serial numbers.
• Troubleshoots and fully understands operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of rental equipment.
• Operates company vehicle safely and follows all safety policies.
• Cleans and tests returned equipment; completes paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Installs flexible gas hose on propane and natural gas applications.
• Checks gas connections safely and correctly.
• Maintains accurate records of in-stock and rented equipment; on-call for emergency service.

This role delivers portable HVAC equipment to the customer, demonstrating skills and performance in the use, operation and repair of all company equipment.
