Pace Runners, Inc. in Hammond, LA is seeking a Non CDL Box Truck Driver to perform local, multi-stop deliveries from the cross dock to retail locations around Hammond.

You will operate a 26' box truck with a lift gate, unload freight, and ensure on-time deliveries within customer windows. Responsibilities include pallet breakdown, using a delivery app to document routes, maintaining customer relationships, and adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• 12 months or more experience driving a Box Truck or qualified commercial vehicle
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• Drivers must be 21 or older
• Background and drug screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Operate a 26' Box Truck with Lift Gate.
• Pick up freight and deliver to Pace's customers in the scheduled timeframe.
• Breakdown pallets for customers as needed.
• Deliver cartons to customer stores using carts/pallet jack.
• Use Pace delivery app/scanner to track and document all deliveries.
• Maintain good relationships with our customers during deliveries.
• Be punctual and accurate within customer time windows on all deliveries.
• Communicate with the team regarding route issues and safety practices.

Full Time Operatives Hammond, Hammond, LA, US

Ready to move your career forward? Pace is hiring a Non CDL Box Truck Driver in Hammond, LA.

Pace is seeking a natural leader who will make multi-stop business to business deliveries from the Pace cross dock to retail locations in and around the Hammond area. Deliveries are made using a 26' Box Truck with a Lift Gateand consist of unloading freight at local retail stores. Freight may be palletized and/or floor loaded. Palletized freight is unloaded using a manual pallet jack. At times, deliveries will be heavy touch when cartons require hand delivery using a cart. Drivers are generally assigned routes 5 days per week, Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a 26' Box Truck with Lift Gate.
• Pick up freight and deliver to Pace's customers in the scheduled timeframe.
• Breakdown pallets for customers as needed.
• Deliver cartons (boxes) to customerstore using carts/pallet jack.
• Use Pace delivery app/scanner to track and document all deliveries.
• Maintain good relationships with our customers when making deliveries.
• Punctuality and accuracy within customer time windowson all deliveries.
• Timely communication with team regarding route issues.
• Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.

Physical Requirements

• Tasks may involve occasional stooping, kneeling, bending; and reaching overhead; as well as the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull objects/materials weighing up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 50lbs.
• Tasks may involve extended periods of standing.
• Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
• Some tasks may require the ability to perceive and discern sounds and visual cues or signals.
• Ability to communicate orally.
• Able to work around moving machinery.
• Warehouse environment, exposure to dust, loud noise and outdoor temperatures.
