Job summary

MANN+HUMMEL in Allentown, PA is seeking a Delivery Driver to execute daily deliveries using a 26-foot box truck. You will load and unload by hand or pallet jack, provide outstanding customer service, and prepare products for shipment with boxing and shrink wrapping.

The role requires a valid driver's license, a current DOT medical card, 21+ years old, and 1+ year of experience driving a 26-foot box truck. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain DOT compliance, and return home

• Home daily – no overnight routes.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Main Tasks

Job Summary:

• Executes daily deliveries using a 26 foot Non CDL Box Truck to customers
• Loads and unloads trucks by hand or pallet jack; limited use of lift gates
• Provides excellent customer service
• Prepares product for shipping to include boxing and shrink wrapping
• Ensures deliveries are made in a safe and timely manner to meet customer needs
• Complies with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; has DOT Medical card
• Conducts pre and post trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues
• Home daily – no overnight routes
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent education
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Must have current DOT medical card
• 21+ years of age
• 1+ years of driving experience operating a 26-foot box truck
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or with a team
• Prior warehouse experience
• Good customer service skills
• Must possess attention to detail
• Effective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening skills with the ability to communicate
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical equipment such as forklifts and other machinery. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Ability to work in temperature conditions between 45 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, and hear.
