Job summary

Lanham Hardwood Flooring is hiring a full-time Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker in Cleveland. Be dependable, professional, and a team player as you support our established flooring distribution business.

Duties include daily pre-trip truck inspections, loading/unloading flooring bundles (up to 70 lbs), assisting with orders, delivering to customers, and safe forklift operation after training. We offer $20 per hour, a competitive benefits package including 100% employee medical, PTO, a 401(k)

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ for driving insurance.
• DOT medical certification (drug testing) required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Forklift operation (training provided).
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• High school graduate.
• Certifications preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Daily pre-trip inspection of delivery truck.
• Heavy lifting 75+ lbs; load/unload flooring bundles.
• Pull orders and load truck for deliveries.
• Review orders before/after delivery for accuracy.
• Handle paperwork for deliveries.
• Transport materials to destinations for customers.
• Unload product for delivery; mostly by hand, some forklift.
• Ensure safety on road and at delivery locations.
• Unload, check in, and stock new products arriving.
• Pull products for customer orders and assist loading.

Job Responsibilities

• Daily pre-trip inspection of delivery truck
• Physically demanding role involving heavy lifting (75+ lbs), warehouse operations, and direct material handling-you'll load, unload, and carry flooring bundles into customer homes and businesses on multiple deliveries per day
• Help pull orders and load truck for deliveries
• Review orders before and after delivery for accuracy
• Handle paperwork for deliveries
• Transport materials to destinations for customers
• Unload product for delivery in accordance with customer needs – Mostly unload by hand. Some by forklift.
• Safety – both driving and while working at delivery locations
• Help unload, check in, and stock new products arriving
• Pull products for customer orders and help load in customer vehicles

Requirements:

• Must be 21 or older to apply (for driving insurance purposes)
• Ability to complete DOT medical certification (includes drug testing)
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs
• Very good attention to details
• Comfortable operating forklift (will train)
• Experience working in warehouse environment is preferred
• Must be a high school graduate
• Certifications preferred, but not required
