Job summary

Hajoca Corporation's J & H Aitcheson in Leesburg, VA, is seeking a delivery driver (non-CDL) to join our team. The role involves loading, transporting, and unloading Hajoca merchandise to customer sites while ensuring safety, accuracy, and on-time delivery.

You must be 21+, hold a valid driver's license, pass a DOT physical, and maintain a clean driving record. The position offers competitive pay of $20–$22 per hour and comprehensive benefits for full-time teammates.

Qualifications

• Be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a proper and valid driver’s license.
• Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.
• Be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and again at least every two years while employed and performing this job function.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations.
• Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise to be delivered. Secure the load properly so that nothing will shift, get damaged, or fall from the truck.
• Understand the shipping documents that are associated with the merchandise for each delivery and have accurate directions to each delivery destination.
• Review shipping documentation and ensure order accuracy.
• Unload correct merchandise from the truck and place it where the receiving party wants it. Obtain legible signature for all merchandise delivered per Company policy and procedure.
• Collect and secure outstanding payments for all cash sale deliveries prior to releasing the material to the customer.
• Work with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately.
• Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses discovered in the course of making deliveries.
• Inspect the truck and required parts and accessories to determine safe operating condition prior to departure from the Hajoca location.
