Job summary

Hajoca Corporation is seeking a Delivery Driver Non CDL at our Houston, TX location. You will safely operate a delivery truck, load and unload merchandise, and provide excellent customer service at customer sites and job sites.

The ideal candidate is at least 21, has a valid driver’s license, can pass a Department of Transportation physical, and can follow shipping documents and payment procedures. Benefits include profit sharing and comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide with whole numbers and decimals.
• Must remain calm and effective in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks safely and in compliance with laws.
• Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise and secure the load.
• Understand shipping documents and have accurate directions to destinations.
• Review shipping documentation for order accuracy.
• Unload merchandise, obtain signatures, and deliver per policy.
• Collect and secure payments for all cash sale deliveries.
• Work with customers to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly.
• Load the truck at other locations with merchandise, including vendor loads.
• Provide sales leads seen during deliveries.
• Inspect the truck and equipment to ensure safe condition; report issues.
• Complete required safety training and other duties as assigned.
