You will help turn business needs and early-stage ideas into clear technical plans, working prototypes, and reliable platform features.

You will contribute across the software development lifecycle, from understanding requirements and shaping application architecture to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. The role includes working with Node.js and related web technologies, collaborating with colleagues who use Angular and Ruby on Rails, and supporting secure, well-performing services. You will receive mentorship tailored to your development goals while being trusted to take initiative and learn unfamiliar systems.

Qualifications

Applicants should have foundational knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js, along with an understanding of web application development and the software development lifecycle. Familiarity with APIs, databases, authentication concepts, version control, and debugging practices is valuable. Exposure to Angular, Ruby on Rails, Ansible, or similar tools is helpful, but a willingness to learn and apply new technologies is essential.

You should be able to communicate technical ideas clearly in writing and conversation, listen carefully to feedback, and work constructively with people across different disciplines. We value sound analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to break ambiguous requests into manageable tasks. Candidates should be comfortable asking for guidance, incorporating review comments, and adapting plans as project needs evolve. Responsibilities

Partner with business stakeholders and technical teammates to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications, development tasks, and realistic implementation plans. Help turn early concepts into prototypes that can be tested, evaluated, and refined. Build, test, document, and maintain Node.js services and application features, following established coding standards and contributing improvements where appropriate.

Collaborate with frontend and platform developers to connect services across the company’s technology stack, including systems built with Angular and Ruby on Rails. Assist with secure authentication and authorization workflows, using suitable tools and established practices. Contribute to database schema design and query optimization to support dependable performance as workloads grow. Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation, and service support, including an on-call rotation as appropriate to your training and experience. Share progress, raise risks early, and use feedback to continuously improve the quality and reliability of your work.
