Job summary

Gov Services Hub in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Node.JS Java Developer to help build and maintain scalable APIs for our mobile services platform. This 12-month contract role requires strong back-end expertise and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will work across Java, Node.js, TypeScript, and C#/.Net environments, emphasizing API/Web Services, REST and SOAP, with emphasis on performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Proficient in Java, Node.js, and API design.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, and message queues.
• Familiar with Spring Framework, Kafka, and ActiveMQ.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PMO, Development, Product Management, Business and Technical Operations, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, Networks and Architecture teams.
• Design and develop middle-layer services in Java Script, Type Script, Node JS, Java and/or C#/.Net.
• Draft and review architectural diagrams, specifications, business requirements as well as various design documents.
• Work with our existing technology stack (Java, C++, Linux, Unix, Open-Source Platforms, and SOA) as well as new technologies for our next generation solutions.
• Acquire a robust understanding of financial products, services, processes, and organizational structure to find optimal solutions.
• Mentor other software developers.

Position: Node.JS Java Developer

Location: Alpharetta, GA (3days on site is must)

Duration: 12 months contract

Interview mode: Face to Face

Need someone with 80% NodeJS and 20% Java experience. Node is for building APIs nothing as a front end skill

We're looking for a Java Developer to join our team within Client Platforms. In this role, you'll work on our mobile services platform, collaborating with the team to design, implement, and maintain APIs that enable seamless interaction between applications, databases, and other web or mobile systems. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented web services developer who ensures high performance and functionality across all integrations.

What You'll Bring To The Role

• At least 6+ years of software development experience
• Proficient in software development domain and principles, including design patterns, code structure, programming languages, continuous integration, and deployments
• Hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Type Script, Node Js, Kafka and Active MQ.
• Experience in java server technologies like J2EE, servlets.
• Experience in Tomcat, Maven, etc. tools used for Java development
• Hands-on experience in API/Web Services development using protocols such as REST, SOAP, JSON.
• Proficient with any one DB (Oracle, DB2, Sybase etc.)
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming design patterns and methodologies
• Good understanding of Web Services protocols such as REST, SOAP, JSON and API design for extensibility and portability.
