Job summary

UNC Health Medical Group in partnership with UNC Health Lenoir in Kinston, NC is seeking a Per Diem Nocturnist Physician to join the team.

Schedule is 7pm-7am (2 or more shifts a month). This position uses EPIC for records, with open ICU and a focus on nocturnal inpatient care in Lenoir County. Expect to manage 14–17 patients per day per physician and collaborate across a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine completed or in progress.
• Board certification or eligibility with intent to pursue BC.
• Open ICU coverage.
• Must be able to manage codes; no required procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide nocturnal inpatient coverage in hospitalist setting.
• Diagnose and manage adult medical patients; collaborate with team.
• Maintain patient flow with ~14–17 patients per day per physician in Lenoir County.
