Job summary

MedStar Health invites applications for a Nocturnist Hospital Medicine Advanced Practice Provider at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, MD. The role is a 100% inpatient, night-shift position with incentives to signing and retention up to $20,000.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
• PA certification/licensure required.
• Experience in inpatient hospital medicine and night shifts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in admissions and cross-coverage for medical inpatients.
• Write order sets, prescribe medications, and support physicians during emergent events.
• Collaborate with clinicians to ensure patient care continuity, triage calls, and coordinate tests and treatments.
• Perform histories and physicals, interpret results, and monitor patient status.
• Assist in hospital rounding, admissions, discharges, and documentation within the EMR.
• Provide patient and family education and coordinate care across teams.
