Job summary

MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, Maryland seeks a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join as a Nocturnist in a 12-bed Medical/Surgical ICU, providing care to critically ill patients with strong team collaboration and physician support.

The position offers a nocturnist adjuster, competitive compensation, broad health/dental/vision coverage, malpractice insurance, CME leave and allowance, and an employer-funded retirement plan. PSLF eligibility is noted.

Qualifications

• Acute care APP experience required.
• Graduate of AGACNP or PA program.
• Current AGACNP or NCCPA certification.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Care for critically ill medical and surgical patients in ICU.
• Lead Code Blue responses and participate in Rapid Response activations.
• Evaluate and manage unstable patients requiring ICU-level care.
• Perform procedures with a high degree of clinical autonomy within a team.
• Collaborate with physicians and APPs to ensure quality patient care.
