You will care for unassigned ED patients needing inpatient treatment and collaborate with intensivists for critical care in a supportive inpatient service. Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Alabama Medical License or eligibility.
• Hospitalist experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Strong clinical skills and commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for unassigned patients presenting to the Emergency Department requiring inpatient treatment.
• Admit and collaborate with intensivists for critical care patients, with no procedural requirements.
• Manage patients within a Clinical Decision Unit and support inpatient consultations.
• Benefit from 24/7 pulmonary and critical care support, as well as round-the-clock access to subspecialty expertise.
• No on-call duties required, ensuring a balanced work schedule.
