Nocturnist Hospital Medicine Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity with MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center

We are seeking a Nocturnist Hospital Medicine Acute Physician Assistant to join our team at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, located in Clinton, MD.

We are offering a signing and retention bonus of up to $30,000!

This 100% inpatient position offers you the opportunity to work with a highly collaborative team doing admissions and cross coverage for medical patients with access to the resources provided by a large healthcare system. In this inpatient setting, you will work a night shift schedule while enhancing our current Hospital Medicine Model. Our clinicians are expected to focus on evidenced based medicine in order to improve patient quality, safety, throughput, and improved patient experience and communication.

Job Summary - Performs a variety duties such as history and physicals as well as providing care to assigned patients. Assesses, diagnoses, documents findings, and writes medical orders. Makes clinical decisions relative to patient management through collaboration with physicians.

About MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center:
Located just 20 miles southeast of D.C., MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center is a 250-bed, full-service, acute care and 24-bed, sub-acute care facility with approximately 60,000 emergency room visits and approximately 14,000 admissions each year. Our hospital's commitment to advanced technology distinguishes it from community hospitals. Our Heart and Vascular Center's cardiac catheterization laboratory is the site of life-saving interventions for heart attack patients, elective angioplasties, and diagnostic procedures. MSMHC was the first in Southern Maryland to be certified as a Primary Stroke Center by the state of Maryland, and it remains the only certified Primary Stroke Center in Prince George's County.

This position has a hiring range of
USD $168,250.00 - USD $238,000.00 /Yr.
