Job summary

Sound Physicians is seeking a Nocturnist Critical Care Nurse Practitioner in Midlothian, VA. In this role, you will provide patient-centered care while managing critically ill adult patients in an ICU setting during nighttime hours.

With a focus on collaboration and support, you will work alongside experienced teams, performing necessary procedures and ensuring high-quality care through comprehensive assessments and interdisciplinary communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the ICU with procedure logs.
• Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with daytime intensivists and deliver high-quality critical care services.
• Provide overnight coverage for critically ill adult ICU patients.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges from the ICU.
• Participate in family communication and quality improvement initiatives.

Independent provider experience in the ICU

Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Comfortable with nocturnal schedule

Ability to deliver patient-centered care

Education

Active Virginia license and DEA preferred
