Job summary

TriHealth in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Nocturnist to join our Hospital Medicine team. This hospital-employed role offers relocation support and a sign-on bonus within a system recognized for excellence.

You will work 12-13 ten-hour night shifts per month, serve as attending of record for admissions, and rotate across 3-4 hospitals with ICU and transfer capabilities. EMR documentation and resident supervision are included in a collaborative, high‑quality environment.

Our outstanding Hospital Medicine team, which I have the privilege to lead, is seeking a Nocturnist colleague to join us in Cincinnati, Ohio. I've been a Hospitalist here in Cincinnati with TriHealth for 15 years. I love my job, the people I work with, and the support of this hospital system.

In this role you will:

• Work 12-13 ten-hour shifts per month for a total of 148 per year (typically 9p - 7a)


• Act as attending physician of record on the night of admission for hospitalized patients in collaboration with other physicians and departments including yourfellow fantastic nocturnists


• Rotate through 3-4 hospitals (2 large flagship hospitals and 1-2 smaller sites with specialist backup and direct patient transfer capabilities)


• Respond to urgent medical consults on all inpatients. Of note, codes, stroke alerts, and rapid responses are primarily managed by the separate, dedicated ICU teams at our large hospitals where the ICUs are \"closed\" (procedures and ICU coverage at our flagship hospitals are not required).


• Perform high-quality medical record-keeping in the EMR in a timely fashion


• Provide minimal and intermittent resident supervision at the flagship hospitals for a portion of the new admissions as well as admitted patients with acute needs overnight.
