What You'll Do in This Position


The NNSA Missions Chief Business Officer will support the Sr. Vice Presidents within the assigned SRNS NNSA-mission focused organization in the development, communication and implementation of the strategic objectives and policies, in support of Business and Customer Excellence. This position will provide leadership and direction to Programs, Projects, and Finance for the Defense Programs and Nuclear Non-Proliferation Missions. This senior leader will assist in developing and implementing facility management programs and improvement in conduct of operations in nuclear and high hazard conditions and/or cross-cutting national programs in nuclear non-proliferation. The Chief Business Officer is a highly collaborative position, working closely with NNSA team members and stakeholders. This leader will be required to maintain relationships with SRNS and Customer leadership to ensure successful outcomes of business initiatives and projects, which will include identifying common ground and gaining consensus.

Major Responsibilities

*Lead the organization to achieve business results by driving communication and execution of strategic objectives throughout the organization.

*Build relationships with internal and external customers within SRSNS NNSA-focused organizations, NNSA counterparts, and across the Enterprise.

*Maintain oversight and focus on Customer Excellence for the entire business and ensure meeting key objectives to satisfy customer requirements.

*Design, develop and implement programs that address key organizational and/or client needs.

*Support an environment of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

*Implement and maintain a Management Operating System in all relevant areas to ensure consistent communication.

*Support the Sr. Vice President and/or the Deputy Vice President in the complete operation of SRNS NNSA missions and the varied functions within the business.

*Support the establishment and administration of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable orders and regulations.

*Provides leadership and direction to build an enduring organization by developing and driving organizational objectives and talent initiatives.

*Provides executive level leadership customer interface.

*Other duties as requested by the Sr. Vice President.



Expected Results & Success Metrics:

*Year over year business performance improvements.

*Monthly / Quarterly Performance, Evaluation, Management, Plan (PEMP) execution: 1) Weapons, 2) Nuclear Security Threats, 3) Facility Operations, 4) Leadership.

*Successful accomplishment of targeted initiatives.

*Continuously drive for improvement on organizational talent metrics.

*Adherence and execution of the organizational Management Operating System.

*Improvement in Productivity and other business initiatives

Additional Responsibilities for this position include the following:

* Interface with Site Infrastructure and Planning Groups. The integration of schedules from these organizations.

* Coordination for University Engagements and, HBCU's, and capstone projects.

* Responsible for Mission deliverables and Program milestones.



Security Clearance Information


SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. Qualifications We Require


BS degree in engineering, business, or related field.



Other Qualifications


Progressive senior leadership experience within a commercial, government, or military operations
environment

Direct experience with matrix management and influencing through indirect leadership in a highly complex, matrixed, cross-functional organization

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must be able to attain and maintain a DOE Q level security clearance
