Network Automation (NA)
Phase I includes installation of servers at one primary site and two remote sites in each environment. Responsibilities include:
- Install, configure, and test a highly available NA solution at the primary site.
- Define servers, ports, OS, storage, and database requirements in the Architectural Design.
- Install and configure up to two satellite gateways at each remote site.
- Configure global settings for the managed domain (SSH, syslog).
- Assist in creating five configuration scripts derived from planned use cases.
- Create up to ten policies with up to five rules each, ensuring they are consistent with current standards and security policies.
- Develop diagnostic scripts and OOTB reports based on rule violations.
- Create five static groups and five dynamic groups.
- Configure real‑time change detection with syslog.
NNMi Implementation
Tasks include:
- Install, configure, and test a 2‑node highly available NNMi cluster at one primary site and one secondary site.
- Install, configure, and test a 2‑node highly available NNMi cluster at each remote site.
- Define final server, ports, OS, storage, and database requirements in the Architectural Design.
NNMi Configuration
Key responsibilities:
- Configure remote sites to forward events to regional OMi servers for local event correlation.
- Perform network discovery of up to 1,000 devices.
- Load trap definitions from vendor MIB files for up to three IP‑addressable microwave and radio devices.
- Configure up to two NNMi state poller services.
- Create up to ten rule‑based discovery patterns.
- Create up to ten NNMi user domains with up to ten users each.
- Create up to ten SNMP‑based communication profiles.
- Configure up to two Prime Contractor‑defined node group maps.
- Validate map containers, create up to four Prime Contractor‑defined interface groups.
- Assist with modification of incident handling within the NNMi event subsystem.
- Configure integrations with BSM/OMi, UCMDB, and NA.
