Job summary

Critical Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer specializing in Network Management Systems (NMS) and Automation to support a federal customer in Norfolk, VA. The role centers on expert monitoring ecosystems, SNMP polling, real-time alerting, and automated backups of device configs within secure environments.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or Network Engineering.
• Hands-on RHEL 8 administration with RHCSA/RHCE preferred.
• Proficiency in Ansible and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Experience with multi-vendor network environments and NMS tools.

Responsibilities

• Administer RHEL 8 servers across physical, virtual, and air-gapped environments.
• Configure polling, SNMP, NetFlow, and NetFlow collectors for telemetry.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate server provisioning.
• Deploy and troubleshoot NMS applications such as NNMi and Arista CloudVision.
• Architect integrations between NMS engines and ITSM platforms like ServiceNow.
