Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Cupertino is seeking experienced Hardware Design Engineers to advance the Nitro SSD hardware platform. You will join a cross-disciplinary team and drive design from concept through production for high-speed storage solutions deployed across AWS data centers.

The role requires strong hardware engineering expertise in storage components, NAND Flash, and NVMe/SAS/SATA interfaces, plus experience with large-scale cloud deployments and supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of hardware design and development of high volume storage solutions and SSD.
• Deep expertise with NVMe, SAS/SATA, PCIe, I2C, ONFI, DDR and NAND protocols.
• Experience deploying and operating hardware and Cloud applications across large data centers.

Responsibilities

• Design Nitro SSD hardware and related server integration elements from concept to production.
• Collaborate with Platform Storage, Annapurna, Commodity and Supply-chain teams to deliver storage solutions.
• Lead adoption of new technologies to improve performance, quality and cost at scale.
• Work with CM's and ODM's to ensure quality, availability and yields for the platform.
