Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Nightshift Production Associate to operate printing presses and gluers, ensure safety, quality, and GMP compliance, and support start-ups.

You will perform quality checks, stage materials for upcoming jobs, maintain 5S standards, and assist with preventive maintenance and setup while actively contributing to teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, tact and professionalism.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Willing to work overtime during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate printing presses and gluers to meet production rates with minimal waste.
• Assist with press and gluer make-readies and start-up checklists.
• Ensure machines are stocked with required materials for upcoming jobs (ink, plates, board, etc.).
• Perform hourly quality checks and document production records.
• Maintain 5S standards and clean work areas and equipment.
• Support maintenance, repairs, and basic troubleshooting when possible.
• Relieve crew for breaks and coordinate with teams to minimize downtime.
