Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health's Children''s Hospital of Richmond seeks a Respiratory Therapist 3 for NICU/PICU, nights. You will provide safe respiratory care across neonatal to geriatric populations and serve as shift team leader when supervisor is absent.

The role emphasizes leadership, ECMO management in eligible cases, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to develop and monitor patient care plans in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of work experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• NBRC CRT or RRT credentials required; ECMO management experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification; ACLS and/or PALS preferred.
• Shifts may rotate; weekends/holidays and on-call may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for neonate through geriatric patients per guidelines.
• Serve as shift team leader in the supervisor's absence.
• Assist with ECMO management when trained.
• Educate patients, caregivers, staff and students on respiratory care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and monitor care plans.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas and equipment.
