Job summary

Liberty Defense Group is seeking Armed Security Specialists for three contract locations. The role entails maintaining a professional armed presence, patrolling, monitoring access points, and enforcing client policies while remaining calm and decisive.

Ideal candidates are dependable, observant, and able to handle emergencies. The position offers evening shifts (3pm–10:30pm) with LDG licensing sponsorship for eligible applicants and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Legally eligible to possess and carry a firearm.
• Prior military, law enforcement, corrections, or armed security experience preferred.
• Must successfully complete required firearms qualification and background screening.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable and able to report to assigned locations on time and as scheduled.
• Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional armed security presence at assigned locations.
• Conduct foot and stationary patrols of assigned areas.
• Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and other designated locations.
• Maintain situational awareness and identify potential security threats or suspicious activity.
• Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents.
• Carry, draw, and operate a firearm in accordance with laws and LDG policy.
• Enforce client policies and procedures while maintaining professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with clients, employees, visitors, supervisors, and other security personnel.
• Operate radios, surveillance equipment, and other security systems as required.
• Prepare accurate daily activity and incident reports.
• Report significant incidents to the appropriate supervisor.

Position Overview

Liberty Defense Group is hiring Armed Security Specialists for a new contract covering three locations.

Officers will provide a professional and visible security presence while protecting clients, employees, visitors, and property. Responsibilities include monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining situational awareness, responding to incidents, and enforcing client policies and post orders.

The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, observant, and able to remain calm and make sound decisions in a variety of situations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional armed security presence at assigned Greenlight locations.
• Conduct foot and stationary patrols of assigned areas.
• Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and other designated locations.
• Maintain situational awareness and identify potential security threats or suspicious activity.
• Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents.
• Carry, draw, and operate a firearm in accordance with applicable laws, training, and LDG policy.
• Enforce client policies and procedures while maintaining a professional and respectful approach.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, gates, parking areas, and designated perimeters.
• Communicate effectively with clients, employees, visitors, supervisors, and other security personnel.
• Operate radios, surveillance equipment, and other security systems as required.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.
• Immediately report significant incidents, safety concerns, or security violations to the appropriate supervisor.
• Provide professional customer service while maintaining security responsibilities.
• Follow all LDG policies, client post orders, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty.

Equipment & Licensing

• State-issued Agent ID or ability to obtain.
• Armed security guard card or ability to obtain.
• Duty firearm with Level II or higher retention holster.
• Magazine pouch.
• OC spray.

LDG Armed Licensing Sponsorship

• Don't have your armed guard card or Agent ID yet? Qualified candidates may still be eligible to participate in LDG's Armed Licensing Sponsorship Program.
• LDG will cover the upfront cost of the required armed guard card and Agent ID training/licensing for eligible candidates.
• Because LDG is making this investment in your licensing, candidates who participate in the sponsorship program are required to remain employed with LDG for a minimum of 90 days following completion of the licensing process.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to conduct foot patrols.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors depending on assigned location.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to wear required duty equipment for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to respond appropriately during emergency situations.

Schedule

• Evening Shift: 3pm - 10:30pm
• Officers will be assigned to one of three locations.
• Days will be set each week based on contract and staffing needs.
• Day and evening shift opportunities are available.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Compensation & Benefits
