Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Checker/Stocker to support customer service at the Hampton, IA location. You will greet customers, handle transactions, and ensure shelves are stocked and merchandised for a great shopping experience.

The role includes unloading product, rotating stock, and assisting with promotions, with night and weekend shifts expected. Training is provided for all duties in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• No formal education or prior experience required; full training provided.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Operate the cash register and process payments including cash, checks, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
• Stock shelves, unload product, rotate merchandise, and keep shelves clean and properly presented.
• Assist with store tasks such as bagging groceries, helping with drive-up and carry-out, and supporting promotions.
