Job summary

Hy-Vee in Iowa City is seeking a Fast & Fresh Clerk to deliver prompt, friendly service and operate the cash register while keeping the department clean and well-stocked. You will greet customers, help them find products, and assist with loading items as needed.

The role requires evening and weekend availability, as well as the ability to work with store teams to maintain high standards of service and sanitation. No formal education is required, and physical duties include lifting and stocking.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring and patience.
Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner and address them by name when possible.
Assist customers by escorting to products, securing items, loading or unloading heavy items, and noting customer suggestions or requests.
Answer the telephone promptly and provide helpful service to callers.
Work with coworkers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
Operate cash register accurately, scan products, and handle discounts and receipts.
