Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and treat customers as the most important people in the store.
• Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner.
• Learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible.
• Assist customers by escorting to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading heavy items, and noting requests.
• Answer the telephone promptly and provide helpful service to customers who call.
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Operate cash register accurately and report cash issues.
• Redeem coupons, food stamps, process payments, and issue receipts.
• Place merchandise in bags or boxes and hand to customers.
• Assist with inventory and stocking of shelves.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
