Job summary

US Foods in St. Louis is seeking a Night Warehouse Selector to efficiently pick and palletize customer orders in a fast-paced environment. You will perform pre-shift checks, operate electric pallet jacks, and ensure accuracy and safety in every pallet.

The role requires the ability to work 8+ hour night shifts Sunday–Friday, with overtime and incentives based on productivity. Base pay starts at $21.50 per hour, with potential to earn more through performance bonuses and weekly targets.

Qualifications

• Reading and communicating in English to attend trainings and log information.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday–Friday; weekends/holidays as needed.
• Experience in high-endurance or highly physical warehouse work preferred.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders and verify correct items.
• Palletize and wrap pallets to meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and operate electric pallet jacks safely.
• Transfer products from racks to pallets using order selecting software.
• Stage orders at designated dock and shrink-wrap palletized loads.
• Collaborate with team to maintain clean, safe aisles and return equipment.

Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently select and prepare customer orders, ensuring that all products are accurately selected and palletized in a timely manner.Key ResponsibilitiesSelecting: Safely and accurately select customer orders, confirming that selected products are correct and undamaged.Palletizing: Construct and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity and accuracy standards.Operation: Conduct pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate electric pallet jacks.Fulfillment: Transfer products from racks to pallets using order selecting software.Staging: Transport products to the designated dock area and shrink-wrap palletized orders.Collaborate: Work with the team to maintain clean and safe aisles and return equipment to the charging area.Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.Physical RequirementsComfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from less than 0 degrees to over 100 degrees required.Lift, carry, push, pull, and lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required.Continuously stand, grasp objects & manipulate objects; occasionally sit; frequently walk, drive pallet jack, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, & use manual dexterity.QualificationsMust be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed.Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Friday. At times weekends and holidays are required.Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred.About US FOODSClick here to learn more!Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds).
